Annie

Jake was in the musical Annie in are local community theater comapny. He played the part of Rooster the dasterdly brother of Mrs. Hannigan. He is the one who tries to kidnap Annie for the money. Alot of friends and family came to see him and he really put on a show for them. However, some weren't able to make it and was very upset (Jeanette). But don't worry he will be others he's caught the bug. The next one will probably be Guys and Dolls.
I am very proud of my husband he did an amazing job. And Eliza and Aiden loved watching daddy preform and they also learned all the words to the songs. Eliza keeps saying, "I'm Annie!" and in 8- 10 years she just might be. They were also so very proud of thier daddy. So here is one of Jakes songs that he preformed.

We downloaded it to Jakes Facebook.

Voting

OK, so it's 1 am and I am still awake and am just watching the polls. I am waiting for the polls on Prop 8 to close. It just has to pass, it just had to. I have talk to lots and lots of people. I have been to a rally and Prop 8 just has to pass. So once again it is now 1:04 and I am wide awake and ranting.
Thanks for letting me rant.

Halloween

My kids had a great Halloween. Eliza was trying to keep up with her older brother and not succeeding. But she was darn cute trying. Aiden was a Ninja and he kicked and chopped and was the greatest Ninja ever. The odd moment of the night is Eliza kept going up to perfect strangers and holding up her pumpkin bag and saying "Trick or Treat". I kept having to apologize but I am positive Eliza knows what to do when it comes to Halloween. Here's hoping everyone had a great Halloween.

Aiden says the funniest things.

My son Aiden is 5 and he has just been making me laugh left and right. About a month ago he said, "Mom you wanna her a joke?" I of course said yes, let me here it and he said, "Why did the dinosaur cross the road? Because chickens haven't evolved yet." I have no idea where he got the joke but I about fell on the floor. Then about two weeks ago him and his sister were boxing on the Wii and he started trash talking and his exact words to Eliza was "You wanna piece of me, you wanna piece of me, I'm gone getcha ya and I'm gonna knock the goodness out of you." I was in the kitchen and I had to come in and make sure that I heard him right. I did! And the funniest yet that just happen today was we were in clean the kids room and Eliza and Aiden started to argue and of course I have a daughter that became physically aggressive to her brother. OK I'll say it my 2 year old red head is beating up her brother. Aiden tries so hard to not do anything back because he is finally understanding that he is older and will also get in trouble. SO usually he runs in and tells me what Eliza is doing. But not today, today he screams, "STOP IT ELIZA!!!! I'm going to tell God." I just started thinking to my self he doesn't need me anymore he's got God to punish his sister. Aiden and Eliza crack me up all the time. They are a handful but I wouldn't change one single minute of it.

Pumpkins

I love to carve pumpkins with friends and family. We get pumpkins for everyone even the adult kids and let them go at it. And my husband is always the biggest kid of all. We had dinner, popcorn and hot chocolate. We had a very fun night and here are the pictures to prove it. And a big thanks to the Stapf's for coming and spending time in our crazy little world.

Date Night

Jake and I have been pretty busy lately and so we haven't been having date night. In April we bought tickets to go to a concert with Jen and Matt. So last night we went to an actual concert, we haven't gone to a concert in forever. We saw Cheap Trick, Heart, and Journey. What a combination. Cheap Trick wasn't doing so well so the drummer of Journey came out and sang with them, they did much better after this. Journey has a new leader singer from the Philippians and he was amazing. They found him on you tube. Go technology! However, the act to really watch was Heart they were amazing. So all in all it was a very fun and relaxing night. So GO DATE NIGHT!!!

8 Kids, Scobby Doo and Pizza

I am very lucky I have the most wonderful sister who comes and visits me with her three kids and great friends who trust us enough to leave their children with us. And with their 3 kids, my sisters 3 and my 2. What a time we had with two extra large pizzas, a blanket on the floor and Scobby Doo. We ran around and played and had just one of those great nights that you will remember for along time. Who new a "quiet" night at home could be so fun.

Helping Out

So Aiden has been asking lately what he can do to help out. So he has picked up his toys and shoes and has really been a big help. However, today after church we were getting ready to eat lunch and he came in and asked, "Hey mom do you need help getting the table ready." And I was thinking to myself wow that is so nice. And I said, "Yeah sure that would be great." And he looked at me and said "Well what do you want Eliza to do." What can I say he's really learning to delegate.

Getting Ready To Go To School

It's hard to believe but Aiden has just turned 5 and I am getting ready to sign him up for kindergarten. And oh my goodness the pressure. Everyone keeps asking, "Where is he going to go?",  "All day or half day?" , "Does he know how to write his name?", "Can he count to 20?" and the questions go on and on and on? And when I call the school to find what I need to sign him up that list goes on and on. The secretary over the phone says, " I will need a birth certificate, two different proofs of residence, social security card, drivers license." etc. etc. etc....  And since he is my first one going to kindergarten I am still very nervous and Aiden is so excited. So here's hoping I don't screw it all up and Aiden loves school. My little baby is 5 and where has the time gone.

Easter

We spent Easter at the compound which is always the best.  We color Easter eggs and have cousins over. And when it comes to hunting those eggs WOW watch'em go. Dad makes pancakes and mom makes busicuts and gravy. I love going to my parents house for Easter it feels like I have stepped into an old movie scene. Of course not everything is perfect but sometimes I look around at my brothers and sisters with thier children running around and I just smile and I can't help but think "Life Is Good!"

She loves her big brother!

Eliza is so in love with her big brother.
She is constently following him around, and is saying and doing everything he does. Aiden really loves her to but sometimes he just shakes his head and says, "Eliza!!"
