We are proud of you Charlie Brown!

You're A Good Man Charlie Brown has been a magical time for my husband, but also for the rest of the family. It was a great run and here are some of the highlights.
Eliza's coat hanger sculpture was featured in the play. And yes, she did get a "D" on it from the teacher, but Sally Brown really stood up for Eliza's work.
The kids got to hang out back stage with the cast and love to be at the theater.
Are wonderful nanny Amy, was also in it. She was Snoopy obviously. She did a fantastic job and the kids loved watching her. Eliza and Aiden do a great Snoopy-howl now, and watch out they really want to make Beethoven Day a real holiday.
But best of all we got to watch Jake in this amazing performance. The kids loved watching their dad be Charlie Brown and interacting with him and helping him learn his lines. The kids might even know the music better then Jake, but that's beside the point. We are so happy for all that he has accomplished. He played to sold out shows and even had the family of the author of the original comic come and see they play.
Jake was phenomenal and we could not be prouder.
You're a good man Charlie Brown!

31st Birthday

I turned 31 this year and Jake and I weren't really planning on doing anything but as usual my darling sister-in-law and brother-in-law spoiled me. Jen and Matt watched are kids and then sent us out to dinner.

They then surprised me, with cake and presents.

The kids had a blast eating cake and playing together. Tatum got very excited.

We really had a lot of fun, it turned out to be a great day.

AMY

During the day while Jake and I are away at work we have the most wonderful woman watching over and taking care of Eliza and Zane. They absolutely adore her and I am so lucky that she is able to watch them. They play games, make crafts, go to the library and the park and many other amazing things that enrich my childrens lives. Thank you Amy for all you do we really appreciate you.

Sickness

It feels like we have been sick for a very long time. Between the flu, bronchitis, pink eye, common cold, flu again, and passing it back and forth it has been a crazy 4 months. Jake and I are exhausted. I was suppose to have a girls night out but everyone was to sick and I just could not go. So my friends were so very cool and they gave me a heart attack sometime in the middle of the night. What was great is when I had to wake up in the middle of the night to give Zane a breathing treatment I passed by the front door and the moon was coming in and I saw the heart shapes. It just gave me great joy and a profound knowledge that I have true friends who are always thinking of me and my family and that is a truly wonderful thing.

Charlie Brown

Jake auditioned for the Chico Theater Company version of You're A Good Man Charlie Brown and got the role of Charlie Brown. We are all so very excited and can't wait to see the play. Aiden and Eliza have been going around singing all the songs from the play and Eliza actually wants to be Woodstock in the play.

Jake is reading lines and trying different voices and really trying to get into character.

So he thought it was time to become Charlie, so he shaved.

Here is his before picture.

Here Jake is playing around.

And here is his after photo.
That's right he shaved it all.
He is bald!!!

Johnny Jump Up

Aiden and Eliza never leave Zane alone. They are always picking him up, walking around with him, kissing and hugging him. Most the time it is ok, but yesterday I walked around the corner and saw this. The kids where pushing him back and forth in the Johnny Jump Up like he was in a swing at the park. What am I going to do with them, at least they were being gentle. The crazy thing is all of them were laughing up a storm especially Zane.

New Year's Eve 2010

For the last 3 years we have been lucky enough to go over to Jenny and Spencer Smith's house for New Year's Eve. We always have alot of fun at the Smith's, but Jenny out did herself this year. Jenny put together a bunch of games from Minute To Win It .

Here, Jake is trying to stack three golf balls in one minute.

Spencer stacking cups in a pyrimid and then putting them back in a single stack.

And not quite makeing it. I am sure it was just because one of the kids hit the table.

Keeping 3 ballons in the air while only using one hand.

Bryce and Aiden trying to bounce Ping Pong balls on to a penut butter sandwich and many other games. When we weren't playing games you never knew what was going to happen.

Jake and Jen playing Flock of Seagulls or something strange.

Tatum ans Eliza just being little girls and doing it very well.

And kids just being kids while enjoying life and each other.
Thank you Smith family for a wonderful New Year's Eve.

Happy New Year's!

Zane - Give Me Food!

So Zane, as most of you know, is a very big boy and is always eating. For Christmas we gave him rice cereal. He seemed to enjoy it; however, what he really wanted was the spoon. He totally watches us eat and I know he's wondering why he can't eat it. So here you go Zane!

Aiden & Eliza really want to feed him they can't wait for bigger and better baby food.

Christmas 2010

One of my favorite things about Christmas is always the Christmas tree and this years was our best yet. Amy came over and helped us decorate, we had a blast setting it up.

I love Christmas, especially with young kids. On Christmas Eve we went up to Grandma & Pa's house in Paradise and exchanged gifts. We ate huge cinnamon rolls that Grandma Carr makes every year and spent time with family.

Aiden and Eliza were so cute waiting for Santa they were so excited. Now, when Aiden came in at 3:00 in the morning telling us Santa had come, it was not so cute.

The whole family was very thrilled to share in the joy of Zane's 1st Christmas; too bad he slept through most of it. Santa brought Aiden a Star Wars Lego Battle Ship, Eliza a Unicorn Pillow Pet, and Zane recieved freezer cups for baby food. Santa was very good to us this year.

Then we went to Uncle Matt and Aunt Jenny's for Christmas dinner, which was very tasty. Uncle Matt's stuffing was a hit and the cousins got to play and eat dinner together.

It has been a wonderful and magical Christmas.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
